What does it mean to Be Present + How to Get There!

Hello Radiant Soul! 

Firstly, I want to share that I believe my purpose on this planet {in this life} is to ‘empower others to step into their greatness one breath - one drop at a time'. I have been called to action in a pretty massive way. That is the gift of cancer. It's not mine. It's not his. It's not ours. AND we are not attached to it. It is however, a constant reminder that there are no 'Give Away' days, or moments... no 'Give Away' hugs, no 'Give Away' conversations. Yup, life is short and every single moment of every single day matters. The call to action for me and for all of us is to get living this beautiful life! What are you waiting for? It's never going to be perfect. This I know for sure. It's an extraordinary journey with twists and turns, ups and downs, moments of perfection and moments of complete and utter chaos. And I'm madly in love with all of it. 

What does this all mean for you? It means that the way I live my life and what I have to share with you and with countless others involves using our breath {our prana}, to become so interested in the present moment, that nothing else matters. Go ahead... sit tall, place your hands on your knees, close your eyes, and take a 3 count breath in through your nose and a 3 count breath out through your mouth. Very good! Now repeat that 3 more times. See, now you're present. 

Oh Hello... Let's continue... So, in truth, the present moment is all we really have. As you practice presence you'll become present to the moments you're not present {trippy, tricky huh?). The good news is when we are not present, we have fantastic tools available to quickly shift us back into presence. Yay!

Moment to moment, we are either in a place of Trust & Faith OR Fear & Doubt. It’s one or the other. Fear & Doubt is where our ‘Monkey Mind lives’… bouncing back and forth between worrying about the past and anxiety for the future Faith & Trust is where presence lives. Pretty simple right! 

My primary tool to shift back into presence is using Essential Oils. I have them with me all the time. In my 20 years of practicing, teaching, leading Yoga and Meditation, the quickest way to access our Limbic System is through our senses. Our sense of smell is a direct super-highway to our Limbic System and guess what? Essential oils can impact memories, balance hormonal levels and new scientific evidence shows that utilizing essential oils may be one of the fastest ways to decrease anxiety, anger, fatigue, and depression.
